stone's throw from the beach. . situated in the south east corner of cornwall, westway cottage is a 70-year old holiday cottage set in the middle of an old fishing hamlet, which remains entirely free of commercial development. the holiday cottage in cornwall, devon enjoys panoramic views from looe to rame head, and has front and rear terraced gardens. the south west coastal path passes through the village and an 18-hole cliff top golf links is 5 minutes walk away. ideally situated for touring the spectacular cornwall coastline but also less than an hour's dri ve from dartmoor. the area is renowned for its spring gardens and bird life. plymouth city is just an hour's drive away and there are several national trust properties and stately homes nearby. portwrinkle beach itself has a little harbour, with shingle and fine sand at low tide, as well as numerous rock pools, making it particularly suitable for children - with easy pushchair access to the beach. the spectacular deserted beaches of whitsand bay adjacent to portwrinkle beach afford miles of walking where dogs are permitted. the immediate beach of portwrinkle is dog free during summer months. ~ rental accommodation ~ westway 's living accommodation comfortably sleeps 8/9 people and comprises of: sitting room dining room downstairs lavatory two double bedroom two twin bedroom (attic) extra z-bed plus cot and high chair bathroom (with shower over bath) lavatory and basin fully equipped kitchen . ~ services ~ the holiday cottage itself is our family's second home and the internal services reflect this: electric storage heaters multi-fuel stove (dining room) open fire (lounge) 32"flat screen tv/video/dvd (living room) 26" tv with set top box (main bedroom) automatic washing machine dishwasher microwave incoming telephone garden furniture many books hi-fi (with cd player) pets are welcome ~ personal 'extras' ~ certain personal items such as anoraks, boots etc. remain in the house throughout the year, which guests are welcome to make use of during their stay. although bed linen and towels are not provided - duvets, blankets and pillows are available. basic food provisions such as tea, coffee, long-life milk etc., are kept at westway for day to day use by our guests. all we ask is that you replenish any items used during your stay, before you depart. ~ car parking ~ during winter months, car parking is free (in a small public car park just 20 yards away). during summer months, a car-parking permit is required, and we are sorry this cost is no longer included in westway 's summer letting cost. ~ local amenities ~ a local shop and a public house are located of a mile from westway . a small hotel and restaurant are located just 300 yards away, with the hotel providing other leisure facilities for non-residents. we would not consider this a suitable location for families without a car as the bus service is very infrequent and the supermarket is 6 miles away. ~ westway cottage disabled statement ~ access to the property is via steps and foot path through a raised front garden. the garden abuts the access road without pedestrian pavements. with no other access to the property it is not suitable for disabled tenants. for those with minor disability who could negotiate the front five steps there is a handrail along side the access path to the front entrance of the property. there are wc facilities on the ground floor to the rear of the property. access to the first floor bedrooms is via an enclosed staircase with handrails on both sides. partially sited persons
